Rakeim Williams , better known as “YK Keim” was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey but relocated in 2010 to Atlanta GA. It was during his high school years that he discovered his passion for music. He had not built his confidence in music yet, he would only play around singing at school and having rap battles during lunch. He was always asked if he was going to actually pursue a career in the music industry, or if it was only a hobby. It wasn’t until 2015 that he really decided to take it serious. On July 12, 2019 he dropped his first single “Moon Light” and it hit over 20k streams that gave home the buzz he needed. He has since mastered his craft. Now he is hoping to use his music and platform to create change in doing so.
