Yo! the Moon has been writing music since they were seven, but never thought they could do anything with it until college and was embraced by the local music scene around campus. Since then they have been sharing their songs and collaborating with other artists to explore a variety of moods and genres. Their biggest influences come from the punk and pop punk sounds they've grown up with, as well as their own theatre background, so anything is liable to come spilling from their mouth. Yo! the Moon combines folky and dreamy lo-fi with a desperate almost tenderly punk tide, refusing to be pigeon held by either genre, and refusing to listen to any complaints.
From questioning identity, to yearning for some potential future, to putting their anxieties to an upbeat banjo strum, their goal is singular- to be honest.
