Yohanna Seifu is a singer/songwriter native to Sweden with origins from Eritrea and Ethiopia. Her early musical influences were Rihanna, Mahalia, and Jorja Smith, and have been said to be a fan of pop, RnB, and house music which colors her art.
In the last couple of years Yohanna has collaborated professionally with different independent producers in pop, future/tropical House, and RnB mashup projects, delving into new heights with her artistic expression both sonically and lyrically - writing excellently mostly from personal stories in her music.
Yohanna Seifu's first release ‘None Of It’ (October 2019) was met with lots of excitement that continued for her follow-up single ‘I Can’t Hide’ (May 2020). She signed her first major deal with Sony for her debut collaboration with Swedish producer Ehrling for the summer hit ‘Stay Forever (June 2020). It quickly garnered her buzz and attention and she has continued to show off her range and talent. To end that year the emotive song 'Superglue' (Dec 2020) was released, a collaboration with Swedish producer KeyNatra.
The wildly anticipated new single Misread (June 2022), another collaboration between Yohanna Seifu and KeyNatra has been coined as the next big single with its fresh new Pop, RnB, and Afrobeat sound.
