Desmond Stearns aka YoJeféDezz, is a rising creative young artist who was born in High Point, NC in 1993. Shortly after birth, Desmond’s parents relocated to Sicklerville, New Jersey where Desmond was schooled and raised. Growing up in a family where sports and education was really important, Desmond always knew something was slightly different for him. Throughout his life, Desmond has always been fascinated with videography, images and art, especially how all of them can capture a subjective view through the eyes of others. Naturally, he was destined for creativity. His creative interest was cultivated during his teenage years and further developed when he opted to obtain his Bachelors of Art Degree in Communication with a focus on Mass Media. After completing his degree, Desmond moved to Atlanta, GA were he explored even more into his creative practice, which involved lots of video directing, editing and writing. While pursuing his interests, he was drawn more towards the musical aspect of the arts. The videos that Desmond shot and edited were only part of the narrative. Collaborating both his visionary eye and his ear for music, Desmond brought his creative artistry to a full circle. “Roses” which consists of Hip-hop/R&B and Pop, which is Desmond’s first musical project. He feels the artistic exchange between images and music opens up many different subjective meanings and opportunities within his musical project.
