Yon Idy

Yon Idy is a singer-songwriter originally from Skopje, but with a growing footprint and presence across Europe, including Amsterdam and Berlin. His style of music can be best described as indie-pop with an homage to great songwriters like <a href="spotify:artist:3WrFJ7ztbogyGnTHbHJFl2" data-name="The Beatles">The Beatles</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5l8VQNuIg0turYE1VtM9zV" data-name="Leonard Cohen">Leonard Cohen</a>.


In January 2024, Yon released Blood Red, the first in a string of planned releases this year. He followed up with Going Down in March, Walk Away in April, and Reflections in June. Blood Red and Going Down infused a grittier, darker, rock edge into his melodic pop-folk style. Yon is releasing his first full-length album Ghosts on August 20.


October 2023 saw Yon return to the showcase festival scene, playing at the So Alive Music Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria in front of industry luminaries. In November, he played his first concert in Amsterdam.


2022 saw Yon Idy play in festivals across Europe, including the Sunny Hill Festival in Kosovo and the Live at Heart Showcase Festival in Örebro, Sweden. He was one of six national finalists to be Macedonia&#39;s Eurovision participant in Turin, Italy, and was the musical host of a nationally televised talk show in his home country.
