Jessy Sakati, better known by his stage name Young Jessy, is a Congolese-born singer and songwriter currently based in the United States, where he is pursuing his studies. From a young age, music played a central role in his life, he developed his passion by playing drums and singing in church choirs in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In 2016, Jessy moved to Cape Town, South Africa. During his time there, he crossed paths with a talented young artist named Kabeyah, and together, they founded the music label FeelDeMuzik. While still in 11th grade, they co-wrote their first hit, Shake It Off, a song that became a defining moment in Young Jessy’s artistic journey and continues to shape his music career today.
Young Jessy’s style draws inspiration from the legends of Congolese rumba, Afrobeat, and R&B. Through his music, he hopes to entertain and inspire future generations of young artists, leaving a lasting impact on the industry
