Young King Ferry

Shakem Kemoy Beckford (born 20 November 1999) known professionally as Young King Ferry is a versatile Jamaican recording artist, composer, record producer, graphic designer and entrepreneur. He is also known by some as Ferry Don, Young Dove, Young King or Kem.
Ferry has been putting the pen to the paper and the voice to the beat since he was at the age of 9 years. "I make music based on the way I feel. If I'm in a good mood, the music will be a lot more energetic and powerful. If I'm in love or thinking about a girl, the song will be filled with passion and love. If I'm sad then you'll get a slower, calmer type song expressing how I feel at that moment. I guess that makes my music more relatable."


The 6'2", young musician aims to create an environment in music that welcomes the unity of all genres and all musicians to bring some unique projects to the scene. "It won't be easy to accomplish this goal, but what better way to change the world than by doing what you love?"


Young King Ferry has created work with Rush Sheikh Records, Pryce Wayne Musiq, Hard Streetz Records, Aalvero Records and EastSyde Records but aims to work with even more as his career progresses.
