Hailing from the historic neighborhood in New York City named Harlem, Young Truth began making a name for himself performing in well known venues all over the city like Santos Party House, Webster Hall, DROM and the legendary Apollo Theater. Putting the pieces together along the way, his brand today stands in a very favorable position as many of the Big Apple&#39;s tastemakers have caught wind of his potential. Appearing on a selection of dope projects highlighting standout independent artist has only helped with the push of his solo efforts <a href="spotify:album:4CB3pahSZn1cSrZYbhZGmn" data-name="Tunnel Vision">Tunnel Vision</a> (2013), <a href="spotify:album:4Ki3jERe2yeJLGkNsVuECi" data-name="Unwritten">Unwritten</a> (2015), <a href="spotify:album:2hwFopjZGyMKm66FUI0Kpk" data-name="Groundwork">Groundwork</a> (2016) and his latest release <a href="spotify:album:6U21GktUgqTEFmF3PZOm0j" data-name="You Are God">You Are God</a> which have received critical acclaim.


Born William “Bill” McMillan on September 20, 1987, The Harlem native found a passion to create music as a form of escape from the hard realities outside of his window. Young Truth gravitated to the expressive nature with which some of his favorite MCs delivered. Studying <a href="spotify:artist:5me0Irg2ANcsgc93uaYrpb" data-name="The Notorious B.I.G.">The Notorious B.I.G.</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:3nFkdlSjzX9mRTtwJOzDYB" data-name="JAY-Z">JAY-Z</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:20qISvAhX20dpIbOOzGK3q" data-name="Nas">Nas</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:34EP7KEpOjXcM2TCat1ISk" data-name="Wu-Tang Clan">Wu-Tang Clan</a> to name a few. Intrigued by not only their style but their control of the mic, the upstart took to penning his own rhymes while a senior in High School.


To expand his reach Young Truth paired with <a href="spotify:artist:3kf0gOpxWtkyeMNJVDQPtd" data-name="Smoke DZA">Smoke DZA</a> on “<a href="spotify:track:0U9bdpxq6blRqbjp8L2ThF" data-name="Tenfold">Tenfold</a> ” to show the world that he can deliver on a high performing level. Most known for golden era Hip-Hop sounds, the New York lyricist teamed up with former Roc-A-Fella signee <a href="spotify:artist:0EOoSsmM3oV2aoGL3Od3E3" data-name="Rell">Rell</a> on “Vintage Love” which has more of an R&amp;B feel.
