After meeting on a film set in Oahu, Hawai’i, and reconnecting in LA, Yan and Kahn formed the pop band Your Crush and released their debut Strawberry Sheets EP in 2022. With its ethereal soundscapes and captivating melodies, the collection of heartfelt songs became an instant fan favorite. The duo released their sophomore Circles EP in 2023, landing placements in the popular Korean reality TV show Heart Signal and gaining over 1 million all-time streams on Spotify. Both from unique backgrounds, Yan being Cambodian-Japanese and Kahn being Korean-Japanese-Okinawan, the duo have long struggled with the concepts of love, identity, and family and incorporate these themes into their music.
