YFM is a music project by songwriters Mike Magestro (Spanglemaker) and Goran (the gufs). Magestro and Goran have been writing a catalog of songs for 19 years. With their first single release “Before the Day Fades”, YFM explores the hardships of a personal relationship, Navigating through the ups and downs, it takes you on a journey of the familiar. A relationship that started out well but is lacking the common thread it needs to sustain. Ultimately knowing you are both better off going your separate ways in the hopes you will find that special someone who will fulfill your life.
YFM is wrapping up production on their full-length LP, “19”, set to release in early October 2025. This collection of songs walks the line between the familiar and the unexpected. Instead of leaning on raw chaos, the record leans into reflection and emotion; instead of walls of sound, you’ll find melody, space, and feeling.
