Your Grandma’s Wine is a band from Antigonish, NS that makes generally sad music using acoustic guitars, awkward singing, sometimes keyboard or drums, and hopefully at some point a trumpet. They’re comprised of two main members, Alex Beaton, and Dez Yancey.
Your Grandma’s Wine ’s most recent release, “Headpain Vol.1: Bedroom Demos” answers the question “what does it sound like to be trapped in a couch while some loser cries and plays guitar on top of it?”. Recorded partially on an mp3 player, and entirely with the recording expertise of a long-tailed ferret, Headpain will leave you stuck in the lyrics section wondering what this strange boy is telling you, and hopefully with a little bit of weight in your chest.
