Born in Augusta, Georgia, and raised between Augusta and Savannah, YS The Legend grew up in chaos and love—witnessing family struggles, his cousin’s incarceration, and surviving a gunshot at 19. After rebellious years in alternative school, a move to D.C. with his high school sweetheart became his turning point.

Now, YS embodies duality—the wild, energetic dreamer and the soulful, introspective artist. Whether rocking free-form locs and a chain or pulling his hair up in quiet reflection, he is the balance of man, turning his past into powerful music.
This turbulent youth accelerated YS's desire for change, and a move to Washington DC, with his high school sweetheart, brought a transformative shift. Experiencing unconditional love, he began reconciling his past, blending positive lessons with newfound wisdom.
