Ys1 (Yusef Shelton Da First) is a Homewood Bred Hip Hop Artist and family man who raps to Ignite Purpose . From humble beginnings without parental guidance, Yusef overcame his circumstance and turned pain into Purpose. In 2019 Yusef’s professional career was conceived from recording weekly freestyle raps on a shattered iPad!
This led to Ys1 creating original music, developing a vision that would land him multiple business grants, and now Yusef is performing all over the city of Pittsburgh. 2021 Yusef dropped his new Merch called “Da First” as a reminder to his supporters to be the most Orginal, authentic Version of themselves despite what the world has to say!
Ys1 recently Released 3 consecutive Mixtapes followed by a 4th one in 2023 Called ”Ignite“ a live album where Yusef learned to curate an entire production from scratch for the first time with his 3 show residency at the New Hazlett!
