Yung Lou is an American rapper from San Antonio, Texas, known for his narrative-driven rhymes that blend pain and personal experiences using R&B and Rap.
Inspired by the late 90’s / early 2000’s pop production of Max Martin and hip-hop legends like Eminem, Lou developed a passion for music early on, often listening to his mother’s CD collection.
By age 18, he began making beats and rapping, gaining social media fame through Myspace and the early stages of Twitter.
He’s performed at numerous events across Texas, sharing the stage with R&B heavy hitters such as Tyrese, August Alsina, and Jodeci, and notably opened up for Kirko Bangz and Bun B on the Trillest Tour.
Lou's debut album, Homecoming, was released on his 27th birthday in 2019, followed by his sophomore album Forever in 2020, featuring Baton Rouge native Kevin Gates and Houston heavyweight Lucky Luciano.
After a life-changing car accident in 2020, Lou turned to faith and surrendered his life to God.
This led to his transition into Christian Hip-Hop with albums like Reignition (2021), Carry On (2022), and Discernment later that same year.
In 2023, Lou released 4 collaborative albums with different artists, bringing his catalog to an impressive total of 11 albums since his first release on streaming in 2018.
In 2024, Yung Lou released Keep It Pimpin' featuring Memphis legend Juicy J, and Pink Mink featuring New York legend Cam'ron of Dipset, who was formerly signed to Jay-Z's iconic Roc-A-Fella Records.
