Yanga Maweni's (yungseruno) music journey began in 2018 when he was still in high school, he started working at the BoyznBucks store in Johannesburg. It was in the same year that he fell in love with being DJ, a skill in which he was taught by the late popular DJ, Khanya 'THE VOICE' Radebe.
He has since went on to work with his closest friend <a href="spotify:artist:4MakWUvM6GZhwTKsTA6AAT" data-name="Lucasraps">Lucasraps</a>, who is well-renowned in the South African music space as well as <a href="spotify:artist:4pQcWzOMSmmz5DK6TqO2FL" data-name="Blxckie">Blxckie</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3sNkVGehC2a2YkD346mk87" data-name="DJ Speedsta">DJ Speedsta</a> amongst many. The two have been touring together and performing to this day. At the age of 22 he has played at concerts such as 'Cotton Fest' and 'EFF Rally's'. Yungseruno hosted he’s own event called 'Slatt Code' in 2021, which was the biggest hip hop event showcasing popular and come-up artists'.
In the same year of 2021, yungseruno collaborated with Diadora on a campaign, and released
his debut album, “Operation Save Hip Hop” which is doing numbers on the charts of popular music streaming platforms.
