Yuri Haal

Releasing his debut "F5," Berlin-based artist Yuri Haal first dared to jump from the production shadows into the performing light in late 2023: With an enigmatic and eclectic blend of Indie Electronica, Dance and a symphonic, ethereal, sometimes haunting core sound, the producer creates soundscapes of oceanic depth at the intersection of nature and hyper urban life.

The motif of softness versus hardness is woven throughout F5’s full record length. Only seemingly antagonizing each other, both clearly spawn from Haal’s biography: Growing up in the beautiful, countryside close to the Dutch border, amidst rolling meadows and wild horses, Yuri Haal found solace in the tenderness of nature from a young age on. After years of searching for like-minded creative spirits, Haal moved to Berlin, met musician and artist Demba Nabé, who would teach him the ground rules of the arts, and embarked on another odyssey of finding himself and other kindred spirits in creating his works. Throughout this transformative period and all while simultaneously producing for artists in the German music scene *and* training as a systemic therapist, Yuri Haal secretly nurtured a solo project to life – his most personal and introspective endeavor so far. F5 is a joyous, fun, cinematic and immersive musical testament to the courage of being soft - and the tenderness of being bold enough to show the world one’s visions and creations.
