Yusuf Can Kurt is Turkish DJ, composer and producer working in the styles of organic downtempo, progressive house, afro house, melodic house, and melodic techno by synchronizing sounds influenced by his own ethnic culture with today's music.
He charted on Beatport’s top 100 for his cover of a Turkısh classic, Gesi Bağları, and was awarded a Gold Plaque from Avrupa Music for after doubling his plays. Shortly after, Kurt placed 3rd in Altın Kelebek Gold Butterfly Awards, Turkey's most prominent awards ceremony for artists Nationwide.
His new works include a soon to be released track on one of Europe’s leading record companies, Blanco Y Negro Music. The track is titled, Die A Little More, co-produced and written with his wife Megan Kashat, an American Recording Artist and songwriter.
Organic downtempo works by Yusuf Can Kurt have been featured in many famous compilations including Earthbound released from Tibetania Records.
Yusuf’s professional DJ career started in 2000, and he continues to perform in the most prestigious venues in Turkey including Soho House, Reina, Fenix, and many electronic music festivals. He’s also performed at Ushuaia Ibıza and Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos sharing the stage with Roger Sanchez, Adam Port Stefano Noferini, Acid Paul, Satori, John Digweed, and Sebastian Leger to name a few.
