A native of Los Angeles, Z a c k y - born Zack Burke - was an acoustic singer/songwriter following the likes of Ed Sheeran and John Mayer until he stumbled across J Cole’s album ‘<a href="spotify:track:2wQVmS0j4xcSbEK8CLEgwz" data-name="Born Sinner">Born Sinner</a>.’ He became obsessed with hip-hop and the storytelling ability that rappers like Cole possessed to share detailed accounts of their lives.
While in college, Z a c k y began writing and producing beats for rappers and artists he met in his classes. In 2017, the Huffington Post premiered his debut single, ‘<a href="spotify:track:2FxyizIJ9WvkczhnfRrCuq" data-name="Clear My Mind">Clear My Mind</a>.’ Since then he has released a steady flow of music while creating songs that have reached #1 on Hype Machine with LA artists <a href="spotify:artist:21gPAAqCYT9dyiJCzTa1B3" data-name="Cherry Beach">Cherry Beach</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1qo3qvulyeKNNWjFCPXwwb" data-name="LeyeT">LeyeT</a>, the latter premiering via Billboard.
