Vika Забавка (Zabavka) and Dmytro Ivanyshyn began to publish their first demos in the spring of 2022. This charismatic and uncompromising duo from Khmelnytskyi created a kaleidoscope of song images and stylizations, sophisticated poetic texts, bardic tradition and conceptual hypnotic minimalism. They characterize the genre in which they work, as an independent author's song. The first official release was the single Навпаки, which was released in February 2023. And already in August, the world started listening to the album Кіно (перша серія), which included the Ukrainian TikTok hit Каченята - live.
The duo began to actively perform, releasing several more singles in 2023-2025. Вершники, Руїна, Винокурня, Липнева. And recently 04.04.205 Tatary -an indi folk composition with stripped down DIY sound. Its lyrics were taken from a historic Ukrainian folk song which tells the story of Ukrainian peasants suffering from tatars slave raid. The ancient text has acquired a new meaning in modern times..
