Zack Sottolano

A classically trained pianist, Zack Sottolano transitioned into music production in 2014. His work infuses piano elements, mellow beats, electronica, and quirky synths to create a soothing ambiance. Getting his start on the popular VG remix website OverClocked ReMix, Sottolano's "The Depetrification of the Submerged Forest" (a version of "Secret of the Forest" from Chrono Trigger) and "Kong's Final Swim" (a version of "Aquatic Ambiance" from Donkey Kong Country) were fan favorites and gained him a following of game remix enthusiasts. He's also a noted cover artist on YouTube, featuring popular piano songs with compositional embellishments. Sottolano's songs, originals and covers, are characterized by combining multiple melodies and countermelodies over dreamy soundscapes, oftentimes weaving a story with electronic elements and an overall chill, ambient vibe, and he is known for developing long intricate tracks.

Influences include Nobuo Uematsu, David Wise, Olafur Arnalds, Enya, Yann Tiersen, and 80's music.
