Coming from Kefalonia Island in Greece, from a young age ZAK occupied himself with any form of art he could get his hands on. Eventually he found his love for writing, falling for the freedom poetry possessed and the energy of music, he questioned if these two could be merged, creating a musical coat for the poems. Influenced by genres like rock, punk, hip-hop and artists with amazing writing abilities such as Patti Smith, Joshua Homme and Charles Bukowski, ZAK started learning his way around the guitar and music production with the help of one of his closest friends. Together they merge ideas creating the final piece.

ZAK Margio started his musical journey in 2022 aiming to be placed among the examples of artists that tiptoed around multiple genres of music, producing a unique blend of sounds.

The fourth single, "get me out", released on April 3rd 2023.

An almost fatal crash, immobilized him for three months when he wrote “purgatorium” a concept album experimenting with darker and heavier sounds compared to previous singles, exploring the theme of catharses through the seven levels of the purgatory and released on September 17th 2023.

After a two year drought, “seventeen” was released on May 20th 2025. A story telling EP using poems and journal entries from those two years, setting the stage and flowing into his latest single.

“AKROVATO”, released on June 17th 2025 further explores Greek lyricism and sound, with a note of spoken word poetry.
