Christos Zan Batist was born and raised in Athens. His love for music was strong, yet his first exposure to a wide audience came through presenting the children’s TV programme “Disney Club,” while he also made small appearances in successful series on private television. In 2004 he participated in the talent show Super Idol, forming the pop boy band 4Play with friends; they released songs such as “S’ Agapó” (“I Love You”) and “Kalýtero Dóro” (“Best Gift”) before disbanding in 2007.
He then pursued a solo career, combining singing with acting and dance. He has appeared in stage productions like Annie, Fame and SpongeBob SquarePants, and he isn’t afraid to explore different styles. Major success came with the singles “Pes Tou” (“Tell Him”) and “Mazí den Kánoume” (“We Don’t Match”), which garnered millions of views and established him as one of the hottest new artists on the Greek scene. His songs are played constantly in clubs, on radio and at home, and collaborators and promoters describe him as a talented musician, actor and one of the most likeable people around.
He has toured Europe, America and Australia, delivering live shows full of energy and a desire to “make people dance.” Today he continues to create new music and takes on television roles (in the series “The Doctor” he played a trainee doctor). His music moves between pop, dance and modern traditional elements, blending Mediterranean and international influences.
