Rumors persist of Zazie being the mastermind behind social experiments, infamous internet hoaxes, and dozens of fictional side projects—each a masterstroke of mischief and guile. He’s known to embrace the razor&#39;s edge between high art and post-ironic high jinks.

His audaciousness was apparent early on. Commissioned by Black Mountain College at just 14, he took on Erik Satie’s &#34;Gymnopédie No. 1,&#34; reimagining it with musique concrète techniques.
