Voted Austin Music Awards “Best Hip Hop/ Rap 2020,” as part of the duo Blackillac, ZEALE consistently impacts listeners with his unexpected offerings to rap music. ZEALE’s approach stands out in collaborations with artists like MISSIO, Awolnation, Blue October, Black Pistol Fire, Spencer Ludwig and more. ZEALE latest project is focused squarely on his southern roots in Blackillac.

Blackillac formed when ZEALE reunited with fellow Texas rapper Phranchyze and three-time Grammy winner Gary Clark Jr. at Willy Nelson’s historical Arlyn Studios in 2018. There they created the foundation of Blackillac and then began collaborating with artists and producers across the country to release music monthly and launch a tour in 2019 that included festivals like ACL Music Festival, Summerfest, Capitol Hill Block Party, Fortress Festival and more. Blackillac is now preparing to lift the veil on their debut album including long-awaited songs with their partner and friend Gary Clark Jr.
