ZEBB

ZEBB is a vinyl collector, Deejay, Music Producer, and Multimedia Artist based in João Pessoa, Paraíba Brazil. Native of Salvador, Bahia, started his professional music trajectory as a selector of Cidadão Comum Sound System, and after some years playing in private parties and public spaces interventions started to produce in his Arembadub Studio, located in Arembepe, a small village in Bahia, an icon of the 60's Hippie movement. His research increased and he started to dialogue with sounds out of Jamaica and Brazil, and Diasporic music began to be his deep passion, specially styles like Nigerian Rock and Boogie, Highlife, Ju Ju Music, and Afrobeat. Now his production is a mess of Dub, Reggae, Afrobeat and the new afrobeats, with some experimental accent, because of his transit into the Brazilian experimental music scene. He developed musical projects with artists like the nigerian Okwei Odili, Tatiana Nascimento, Robson Veio, among many others. Along with his experience as a producer, ZEBB is also developing a long way research into deep brazilian traditional music, and recorded artists like Mãe Beth de Oxum, Dona Selma do Côco, Dona Aurinha do Côco, Seu Zeca do Rolete and many other roots brazilian artists. ZEBB is now accurating his own style, mixing all his influences and history into a dub-afrobeat-experience that takes you trippin'.
