Zeeteah Silveta Massiah is one half of the duo Caplin & Massiah.
Born in Barbados, Zeeteah moved to London with her parents when she was five. She started releasing records as a teenager, and became the first Western singer to perform behind the Iron Curtain with her band Lady Love.
In the 1990s Zeeteah plunged into the exploding house music scene, and had a major hit with ‘Slide on the Rhythm’, which rocketed to No. 1 on the American Billboard dance chart. She sang with Kim Wilde on Michael Jackson's legendary Bad tour, and toured the world with Tom Jones. Over the years she has shared the stage with some of the greatest musical artists of our time, including Robbie Williams, Phil Collins, Sting, French icon Johnny Hallyday and Japanese rock legend Eikichi Yazawa.
In 2001 Zeeteah relocated to Cologne, and spent the next few years working with German bands and producers and touring with major artists. In 2012 she returned to the UK to be with her man Paul Caplin (once a member of 80s rebel popsters Haysi Fantayzee). Zeeteah and Paul have released three albums together: ‘Juice’ (2014), ‘Maybe Tomorrow’ (2016) and ‘Wat A Ting’ (2024).
Zeeteah and Paul were married in 2016 and now live in the countryside near London. Zeeteah performs live with her band at clubs in the capital, and they are currently in the studio working on new songs and collaborating with other artists around the world.
