ZELAH are an atmospheric, alt-pop duo from London. Encapsulating a blend of dark, raw and electronic soundscapes with soulful vocals, that take influence from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:2xe8IXgCTpwHE3eA9hTs4n" data-name="BANKS">BANKS</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3Bd1cgCjtCI32PYvDC3ynO" data-name="London Grammar">London Grammar</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:163tK9Wjr9P9DmM0AVK7lm" data-name="Lorde">Lorde</a>.

Hailing from Bristol and Cambridge, the two met by chance whilst studying
in the South West and instantly formed a connection over a shared love of
dark sounds and somber lyrics. The pair wasted minimal time in moving to
London to pursue music where they officially formed the band. They kicked
things off in 2019 by self-releasing two singles <a href="spotify:album:7FcnRFDOe35r1zHWBq7sZI" data-name="Save Me">Save Me</a> and <a href="spotify:album:5vUfIfRrkZHZJ734fCbtOQ" data-name="Adrenaline">Adrenaline</a>,
the former supported with a sold out launch show in London.

At the start of 2020 the band supported <a href="spotify:artist:7xUZ4069zcyBM4Bn10NQ1c" data-name="Ásgeir">Ásgeir</a> at Shepherds Bush Empire, and on May 1st they released their debut EP <a href="spotify:album:2LYo9nODzzc43ICjNdemw4" data-name="I">I</a>. Recorded at Strongroom Studios with producer Jake Murray <a href="spotify:album:2LYo9nODzzc43ICjNdemw4" data-name="I">I</a> includes singles <a href="spotify:album:4G00xe3MopLEK19MC6OWYx" data-name="Static">Static</a> and <a href="spotify:album:0wo2YpvBEfzIYTj8cb3Gqb" data-name="Closer">Closer</a>, the latter received support from BBC introducing Cambridgeshire and was featured in CLASH magazine. Their most recent release, <a href="spotify:album:5DqnQ9B1eJNC5XO9PQSwZU" data-name="Closer (Stripped)">Closer (Stripped)</a>, is the final offering from the EP which puts an alternative spin on the band&#39;s trademark sound.

Work on the duo’s sophomore EP is well underway and is due for release later this year with their rescheduled headline show at Servant Jazz Quarters on November 13th.

‘Atmospheric, soulful goodness’ - Ellen Ellard (BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire)
