ZGARDA is a Kyiv-based ethno band that emerged in 2018, bringing a fresh twist to alternative folk, or as they like to call it, "party folk." Drawing from Ukrainian musical folklore, ZGARDA reinterprets traditional songs with a modern sound. Known for their energetic live performances, the band avoids playback or pre-recorded elements, showcasing that folk music can be both captivating and exhilarating. Influenced by world music artists like DakhaBrakha, Dakh Daughters, Go-A, Oratniza, and Subcarpati, ZGARDA continues to push the boundaries of the folk genre.
