ZIEN is a new danish artist who has just been officially introduced to the world with his debutsingle, Fly With Me, which came out the 24th of February 2023.
The person behind ZIEN is the 27-year-old male, Kim Dien Bender Sørensen, who is adopted from Vietnam and came to Denmark when he was six months old.
During the year of 2022, Kim decided to dedicate all his time chasing an old dream - music. Having no experience other than playing acoustic guitar as a hobby for many years, Kim began practicing both singing and writing his own songs. From his experimental approach to writing and finding melodies/chords, Fly With Me unfolded.
Kim has always been passionate about music. As a 13-year-old boy Kim was introduced to The Beatles by his stepfather and up till this day, they are still his favourite band. In general, Kims musical inspiration extends over a wide range of different music genres - everything from the rap/hip-hop genre such as J. Cole and Kanye West and Chance The Rapper to the more pop-ish and melodic artists, such as The Beatles, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake and The Weekend.
Kim wants people to achieve some kind of relation to both his lyrics and melodies for whether it’s in a happy or emotional context. His lyrics writes its own genres!
