Žiga Rustja is a singer-songwriter born and raised on the Slovenian coast, near Portorož, on the border with Italy, with Italian ancestry on his mother’s side. At the age of 8, he was selected in a casting as a backing vocalist for a band from Koper. This experience made him realize that he wanted to pursue a career in music, and later it became his profession. Over the years, Žiga participated in various national festivals and contests, taking his first steps as a songwriter in a rock band. In 2014 and 2018, he released two albums (Iz moje perspektive and Čas). Later, he had the opportunity to open for Plavi Orkestar at the Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, performing in front of 12,000 people. Known both as a solo artist and a backing vocalist at major Slovenian festivals, as well as a songwriter for other artists, in 2020 he met producer Cristiano Norbedo, with whom he began working on an English-language EP.
