Zilos developed a passion for music at a very young age. Born Christopher Philip, he was raised in a Greek family and was always fascinated with the rhythms and melodies of his culture. After years of lessons on various instruments, Chris found his calling in the drums and percussion section. Because of his steady groove and talent, he auditioned and was accepted into some of New York State's elite music ensembles, including the Empire State Youth Orchestra and Percussion Ensembles. He performed in many different world-renowned venues including Carnegie Hall. Although he was classically trained, Chris was drawn to all types of music and trained privately on many different genres.
