Zimkitha Kumbaca, better known as Zimkitha is a singer/songwriter disciplined in music&
acting. While she is from King William’s Town, Eastern Cape (South Africa); she moved to Pretoria and spent her high school career fine-tuning her songwriting/singing skills through poetry sessions, in an indie band, Travellin' Blak, choir competitions, and vocal training.The R&B/Neosoul singer has collaborations with artists like Marcus Harvey, Wordz, Ayanda Jiya, Bugzito and Beatmochini. In addition, Zimkitha is a playwright, a Naledi Theatre Award Nominated director/performer. Highlights: Lead Singer/Actor for Freedom:
The Musical (South African State Theatre) Joint EP collaboration with Beatmochini: Rebirth, No Plan B Additional music team for Gomora (Telenovela on Mzansi Magic).
She recently released her debut album, The Black Enigma and her live performance showreel that showcases her journey in live music performance.
