Born & raised in a small town of the Netherlands, Ribai Zion Mesha Heljanan— better known as the singer/songwriter Zion Mesha. He grew up in the Moluccan community with music all around him. But it was never really an option, until he found his way to music again after trying to get out of depression. He started to write about his depression, but after a few years of making music he has grown into the artist he is now. Mixing the styles he grew up listing to (mostly 90’s R&B, Gospel, Neo-soul and rap) with sounds from this generation, it has created a musician positioned to be the future of new age R&B
