Nearly a permanent case of forgotten identity, Ziwei is now a singer songwriter – hailing from the beautiful sunshine state of Queensland, Australia. Experiencing struggles with his identity in his late teens, Ziwei dropped all childhood dreams and aspirations of pursuing music. But being an absolute creative in nature, Ziwei still dabbled in the occasional music performance in formal events and putting out song covers for his small online community to fulfil a part of himself that he has always needed to fill. A series of pivotal life events in 2018 acted as a catalyst to spur him back to his love for music which has since acted as his most effective form of therapy.
After releasing the very personal debut single titled Lightning In A Bright Blue Sky, Ziwei's next immediate focus was on his 'Writing Love Stories' project - a series of love songs told from the perspective of fear. Scheduled for releases in September 2019, these songs are titled Potential For Love and Till I Die. He is currently working on touring plans to promote his songs and build a fanbase in anticipation for an EP release in January 2020.
Ziwei's current journey in music whilst still young and green, can be best described as an ongoing process of reinvention – one that has brought him full circle to the only thing he has ever known from his childhood days. His return to music and art can be followed on YouTube through the chronicles of his video journal series titled ‘ZIWEI JOURNALS’.
