Bafana Richard Kasendwa, better known Ziza Bafana, is a highly acclaimed Ugandan artist, songwriter, and guitarist. Born in 1988 in Bukakata Town Road, Luvule Village, Masaka District, Uganda, Ziza Bafana has made an indelible mark in the East African music scene with his dynamic blend of ragga, dancehall, and reggae. His energetic performances and hit songs have earned him widespread recognition, with numerous tracks trending online and gaining millions of streams.
Early Life and Education
Ziza Bafana was born to Noerina Nansikombi and Ronald Sseruwoza, who sadly passed away at the age of nine, following the death of his father, he moved to Kampala to live with relatives, which marked the beginning of his journey into the music industry. His love for music began at Bulenge Primary School, where he became an active member of the school music club and honed his skills as a drummer. His exceptional drumming talent led to a five-year scholarship at the school. After completing his Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) at Kyebando Primary School, Ziza Bafana attended St. Stephen’s Kyebando Secondary School. However, due to financial constraints, he was forced to discontinue his secondary education in Senior Three.
