Zuster Zonnebloem is loud, intimate, raw but most of all sincere. They bring the music and ethos we know from the 70’s into modern times. Unmistakable passion and chemistry are channeled through their psychedelic bluesrock, that entices you to experience a revived nostalgia for <a href="spotify:artist:0k17h0D3J5VfsdmQ1iZtE9" data-name="Pink Floyd">Pink Floyd</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:568ZhdwyaiCyOGJRtNYhWf" data-name="Deep Purple">Deep Purple</a>. One moment they sound vulnerable and crystal clear, the next raw and out of control, with a binding factor of honesty and authenticity. The renowned Dutch music magazine OOR called them ‘Flag-bearers of the Dutch psychedelic rockscene’.
In November 2023 they released their debut album <a href="spotify:album:1xUluMn9ZNIrWRF505SLIV" data-name="Show Don't Tell">Show Don't Tell</a>, a record dedicated to activism and realization of our influence on the planet and each other. They submerge themselves in themes such as freedom, spirituality and the consciousness of universe, with a direct yet hopeful message. With live shows in Paradiso, Patronaat, Gebr. De Nobel, Oerol and Werfpop among others the band have proven to be a live power to be reckoned with.
In June 2024 they released <a href="spotify:album:05DZ3U9uAquLvAIcd3kOoL" data-name="Live in '23">Live in '23</a>, evidence of their refined live skills. It’s an EP of 4 of the best songs in their back catalog, all recorded in the best studios in The Netherlands. In the fall of 2024, Zuster Zonnebloem joined the Popronde on tour and played on the prestigious Popronde Eindfeest in a sold out Melkweg in Amsterdam.
