Zyla Sol is an independent, eclectic music artist based in the Tampa, FL area. Influenced by Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, and Mary J. Blige, Zyla has an old-school 90’s early 2000’s R&B/Hip-Hop/Neo-Soul sound while still remaining fresh. Yazyla Solstice (2018), her first release is a personal reflective journey, exploring the ups and downs of life and love, of the structures of a fractured society, and the power of the voice within. The work gets deep, but Zyla keeps it light with her whimsical theatric interludes. Her follow up release, Cold Moon (2019) takes on a more sensual approach. All-in-all her vocals oscillate between light and airy and hard-hitting. Zyla is neither here nor there. Her undoubtedly magical sound will grab you.
