15 Coffins is Reading, Pennsylvania born, but Georgia grown. He started his journey as an artist, engineer, producer, videographer, DJ, and much more at just 15 years old. Surprisingly enough, that is not how he got his name. "15 Coffins" represents the mental battles we have to kill over and over again in order to ascend to our highest selves. He also sees the number 15 very often as a reminder he is on his correct path of love and creativity, thus, he became 15 Coffins.
Having spent 10 years in the industry, 15 Coffins has grown exponentially in all fields. Growing up he listened to a lot of hip hop, rnb, pop, classic rock, and metal. However, in his music, he drew a lot of influence from Atlanta artists like Future, Young Thug, and Bankroll Fresh; but also artists like Lil Wayne, J Cole, Logic, and Kendrick Lamar when it comes to his lyrics. We also hear him draw sounds from the likes of Post Malone, Amine, 6lack, XXXTentacion, and much more. According to Spotify, most people who listen to 15 Coffins also listen to Amine.
15's approach to music is very mental. He layers many cyphers and entendres that connect to deeper meanings within it's visuals. You learn more and more through each listen. Although, "15" doesn't stop there.
