1747 was formed in 2019 in Skjeberg, a small town outside Sarpsborg in Østfold, Norway, when four guys who had known each other through school and mutual friends, decided to join forces. Initially, they performed as two separate troubadour duos, each playing their own gigs. But after crossing paths multiple times, they saw the potential of coming together as a band.
What started as small gigs at local marinas and private parties—back then with just two acoustic guitars and a bass—quickly turned into performances at larger venues, hotel openings, and events beyond their hometown. As their reputation grew, so did their sound. To take things to the next level, they brought in a drummer from the neighboring town of Halden in late 2023, completing their transition into a full-scale rock band.
Primarily a high-energy party band, 1747 is known for delivering crowd-favorite covers that get people singing and dancing all night long. In 2025, the band took things a step further with the release of their first original single, “The Only Thing”—a song that reflects their shared love for rock at its core.
Today, 1747 is an in-demand live band, performing at events and venues throughout the year.
