1990–1991
The two brothers, Bobby and Martin Boer, began experimenting with music in a small bedroom on the 4th floor in the neighborhood of Zuilen in Utrecht. They brought together their first featuring artists, rapper Da Smooth Baron MC and singer Peggy “The Duchess,” to form their stage act.
Their first single, “Can’t Help Myself”, (1990) became an international hit, reaching number two on the Billboard Dance Chart.
The second single, “Turn Da Music Up”, performed by Da Smooth Baron MC and Gale Robinson followed in 1991.

1993–1994
In 1993, the brothers created their first international 'Eurodance' hit “Never Alone,” with with featuring artists D-Rock and Desray.
Throughout 1993 and 1994, they released a series of global successful singles including “Never Alone,” "Dreams" and "Let Me Be Free".

1995–1997
During these years their style gradually shifted from Eurodance to happy hardcore. Singles such as "Fly (Through the Starry Night)", "Come Take My Hand" and "Fairytales" became international hits.
In late 1996, the group’s style shifted toward R&B with the single “One Day”, and back to Eurodance with “I’m Thinkin’ of U.”

1998–2001
In 1998, the 2 Brothers explored yet another new style with the release of “Do U Know”, a mid- to low-tempo pop track. Late 1998, they followed up with “The Sun Will Be Shining”.
From 1999 to 2001, the brothers continued releasing singles as "Heaven Is Here", "Living in Cyberspace", "Wonderful Feeling", and "Stand Up and Live".
