Based in the Pacific Northwest, 5 to a Hill is a curious blend of Blues, Classic/Psychedelic Rock and Grunge. The sounds are derived from Tracy Wild (Guitar), Joel Standefer (Guitar), Josh Standefer (Drums), Chris Spurling (Bass) and Eric ‘eel’ Livingston on vocals. In 2018, the band formed in a mutual effort to revive what many consider a dismal state of guitar-driven rock music. Shortly after, they began recording their first two 8-song EP's (A & B). More new tunes cropped up and the band recorded another 16 songs at Nettleingham Audio in Vancouver, WA. The end result being a full-length album titled "A Hill To Die On", in addition to a bonus Single release of "The Bug". All members took to music from a young age, some playing in school bands etc., while others learning from their own devices. With influences ranging from Chet Atkins, the Chili Peppers, Sabbath, Zeppelin to Tool and Them Crooked Vultures, you can imagine the array of songs presented. Or, you could just listen here and not imagine it.
