Kaushik Bhattacharya aka 7Stringer started music early in his life with an exposure to Indian (Hindustani) Classical music, but soon discovered that his heart and passion lied in the West when he listened to <a href="spotify:artist:32Jb1X3wSmmoHj2epZReZA" data-name="Steve Vai">Steve Vai</a>'s Passion and Warfare album for the first time. That was a life changer and made him pick up the guitar in his early teens.
He had largely been self taught until he got in close contact with the Swedish metal scene, with the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:22upwnTo7nckdSAMI8CrZa" data-name="Mattias IA Eklundh">Mattias IA Eklundh</a> and eventually <a href="spotify:artist:3AhXX206LT1ydBI9HKndT2" data-name="Per Nilsson">Per Nilsson</a>, who's been his greatest influencer ever.
Driven by his passion of combining melodies and technique, he got lucky to be accepted by <a href="spotify:artist:3AhXX206LT1ydBI9HKndT2" data-name="Per Nilsson">Per Nilsson</a> as a private student, where he's currently pursuing his musical dreams when he's able to find time after his family and demanding profession as a cloud architect.
