8 Kalacas emerged in 2003 as the brainchild of a group of immigrant friends singing about the trials and tribulations of living in a new country. Since then, the band have established themselves as pioneers of a new breed of ska-core, which organically blends elements of hardcore, metal, punk, brass-driven ska, and traditional Mexican elements into a cohesive sonic identity beloved by their diverse, international and continuously growing fanbase.
