8th Street Worship is the youth worship team (@calvaryyouthdc) of Calvary Burmese Church in Washington, DC. The group's main goal is to exalt the name of Jesus and worship Him so that people can encounter Jesus in a real, authentic, and personal way. The group set out to write songs inspired by the Holy Spirit starting in 2019, recorded their first single in 2020 with an EP in 2021.
The group consists of Esther Lagwi, Jan Jan Maran, San Seng Nahpaw, Ju Ju Maran, Huai Kai, Nang Kai, and Peter Lwin on vocals; Luke Lagwi on piano/keys, Pum Khai on drums, Nang Kai and John Cary on acoustic, Peter Lwin and Simon Luai on electric guitar, Terence Htoo and Zephyr Ban on bass, and DiDi Maran, Clarence Htoo and Benedict Brody on media.
