A Lucky Pilot is a french solo musical project founded in 2004 by Bruno De Bona who is also a guitar player in the post-rock band Lust (last album recorded in Chicago by Steve Albini).
At first it was a question of composing some tracks for a short film which was regrettably never born, but this failed project was an opportunity to continue and the first album « A Lucky Pilot » came out in 2006 .
The recording process was really free and « home made » with really cheap equipment but in a way to feel more emotion and spontaneity.
In 2010 De Bona finally achieved his dream and made the music of a short film called « Live 'til the end » from french director Vincent Plaidy, starring Philippe Nahon and Bernard Haller, the film won the first prize at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in 2010.
In 2011 he started to write and record the second album 'Obtuse' which was released in March 2014 and mastered by JB Pilon at Wax Recording studio in East London.
Inspired by a number of genres (noise-rock, ambient, classical, post-rock), De Bona is currently working on album #3.<br>
