Ex Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine man Les Carter’s ‘new’ band Abdoujaparov have been touring worldwide for the past 21 years, making friends, breaking stuff and generally making a big racket.
The band is named after professional cyclist Djamolidine Abdoujaparov. famous for running over a police officer on the Champs Elysees during the Tour De France and allegedly taking too many drugs.
Abdou have made 4 full-length albums and numerous singles and EPs.
Spring 2020 saw the release of two new EPs, 'We're All Gonna Die' and 'Trip Of A Lifetime'. The limited edition cds sold out in less than a day.
They were followed by the bands first live album 'Live Action Planet Noise' released in June 2020.
Les has taken advantage of this year's lockdown and lack of live gigs to write songs for the next studio album. Hopefully it will be released once things get more normal and we can rehearse and go into a recording studio.
