Abi Rose collaborates with Astrocolor, hailing from Victoria, BC, Canada, and is featured on their debut album, Lit Up, as well as on their most recent release, Hue. She also provides vocals for Astrocolor's pet project, Weird Party.
Rose has collaborated with Oscar Award winner Patrick Godfrey and Juno Award winner Cuban-Canadian percussionist Magdelys Savigne of Okan, among others.
Abi Rose's influences include Joni Mitchell, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Julie London, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, The Band, Paul Simon, Tracy Chapman, Fiona Apple and Ali Farka Toure. Rose’s love of rhythm has led her to explore finger-picking patterns in her lyrically focused folk, jazz, rock and soul-inspired songs.
