Aboukir is a Paris-based rock band led by multi-instrumentalist & songwriter Ralph Maruani.
After a decade honing his production skills under his electronic alter ego Flabaire, Ralph Maruani returned to his rock roots with the launch of the Aboukir project, a one-man-band that came up with the release of his debut album in 2021. Inspired by the likes of Pink Floyd, David Crosby and Khruangbin, "Digital Introversion" pays tribute to the psychedelia of the 60s and 70s, winning over the critics: "Aboukir takes us on a salvific journey back in time, punctuated by contemporary reflections" (FIP).
Two years after his debut album, Aboukir returns with a new record titled "Change." Fitting title for a record that was written and recorded during a period of great turmoil in his life. For this second LP, a quartet has been formed to present Change to the public, with a first concert in Paris on 16 December 2023.
