Actually I’m a ghost was an Emo Power-Pop band from Toms River, NJ.
Originally founded in 2016 right after high school. Danny, Lance and Josh are the original founding members with Matt joining on very soon after. Originally all meeting in middle school and becoming very close. The first show ever played was in the legendary venue, The Meat Locker in North Jersey and saw a very positive response, that and a friendly conversation at a house party lead to a last minute addition on a festival with some incredible bands. The buzz generated from the show made the need for recorded music apparent. Very soon after the Split with Monday’s called Friends With Benefits was recorded in Lances basement. The release of that record propelled AIAG into the local DIY spotlight. Many more shows around NJ and PA soon followed, making friends with some incredible bands along the way. The first and only LP the band ever released Road to closure Vol. 13, a nod to a movie Danny and Josh watched during the early creation of the record, was a big hit among fans on the band and encompassed the sound AIAG had wanted to display. The popularity of the record allowed them to finally tour and in the summer of 2018 AIAG headed out on a tour, Matt Kahn Presents: Actually, I’m a ghost, across the North East US. In 2019 the band decided to retire AIAG in order to work on other projects.
Thank you to everyone that still listens and helped make AIAG everything it was.
