ACUA

Since their beginnings in 2018, psych pop/rock band ACUA have built a remarkable reputation for infectious, hypnotic live shows that has taken them around the globe. Patrick (vocals & guitar), Caroline (drums), Igor (bass) and Maja (synthesizers) operate in the space between retro and future, where they celebrate getting lost in their very own melancholic euphoria.
With their spacy guitars, energizing drums, reeling synthesizers and singing bass lines, ACUA have played more than 100 shows and supported acts like FKJ, Darwin Deez, The Japanese House and OMNI.

Nominated as “Outstanding Newcomer Artist” and selected as “Music Export” in 2024, the Cologne-based band have released two full-length records via German indie label Papercup Records, “Head Under Water” (2020) and “Is There More Past Or More Future” (2022), and played several tours of Europe, Canada and Japan. They are currently working on their third studio album, which will be released in the course of 2025.
